{"id":8511,"date":"2017-09-20T11:24:11","date_gmt":"2017-09-20T09:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rijeka2020.eu\/?p=8511\/"},"modified":"2017-09-20T16:58:09","modified_gmt":"2017-09-20T14:58:09","slug":"tandem-fryslan-call-for-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ri2020.eu\/en\/tandem-fryslan-call-for-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"Tandem Frysl\u00e2n \u2013 Call for applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you work in the field of arts and culture and want to tackle community challenges in your region; if you want to engage internationally to grow your work, in collaboration with peers who face similar issues in their home regions, we encourage you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tandemforculture.org\/stories\/tandem-fryslan-call-for-applications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">apply for Tandem Frysl\u00e2n<\/a>. The deadline for applications is Saturday, 30 September 2017 (23:59 CET). Successful candidates will be informed by mid-October 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Following this call for applications, up to 24 applicants (12 from Frysl\u00e2n and 12 from other European regions) will be invited to the Tandem Frysl\u00e2n Partner Forum. Participants will find many networking opportunities and \u2013 most importantly \u2013 their potential Tandem Partner. Once the partnerships are formed, each \u201ctandem\u201d will then apply for the full programme with a specific collaboration plan and idea. Seven tandems will be selected. In addition to becoming part of a broad international network that we call the \u201cTandem family\u201d, each participant and their tandem will benefit from a placement opportunity in the region where their partner is based. They will also benefit from financial and mentoring support to prototype their idea and establish a mutually beneficial partnership.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Leeuwarden \u2013 capital of the Dutch province Frysl\u00e2n \u2013 will be the European Capital of Culture. The theme for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.friesland.nl\/en\/european-capital-of-culture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Leeuwarden-Frysl\u00e2n 2018 (LF2018)<\/a>\u00a0programme is \u201ciepen mienskip \u2013 open community\u201d, an approach also embraced by Tandem. This is why we are joining forces with LF2018 to start a new programme:\u00a0<strong>Tandem Frysl\u00e2n<\/strong>, which will bring ideas and experiences from Frisian communities and wider Europe together.<\/p>\n<p>Tandem is a cultural collaboration programme that strengthens communities and civil society in Europe. Tandem believes that the burning cultural and social questions of our times can be addressed much more creatively and effectively through inspiring learning experiences that are provided when collaborating with new organisations and across other realities and localities. Our vision is to see strong networks of creative communities and cultural change-makers emerge from this programme and to support the impact they make on their communities and regions.<\/p>\n<p>The call is open to employees of art organizations but also for members of collectives, non-profit organizations, public institutions, start-ups, associations and initiatives. The main criterion is that you are a part of the team and have roots in your community.
