{"id":3247,"date":"2016-01-04T13:01:28","date_gmt":"2016-01-04T13:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rijeka2020.eu\/?p=3247"},"modified":"2020-02-20T12:33:32","modified_gmt":"2020-02-20T11:33:32","slug":"crowdfunding-the-theatre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ri2020.eu\/en\/crowdfunding-the-theatre\/","title":{"rendered":"Crowdfunding the Theatre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was seventy years ago today that the National Theatre in Rijeka was declared, encompassing Croatian and Italian Drama, Opera and Ballet. <!--more-->The decision on its foudnation was made by the authorised committees of the government of the day, and a temporary board of directors was appointed by the same decision, headed by theatre manager \u0110uro Ro\u0161i\u0107, PhD, Opera manager Slavko Zlati\u0107, Croatian Drama manager Ivan Cunt, Italian Drama manager Tullio Fonda and board member Osvaldo Ramous, with the primary aim of shaping the artistic, technical and staff-related features of the future theatre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Several months later, in late May, the first permanent board of directors was appointed, comprising: \u00a0Dr \u0110uro Ro\u0161i\u0107, theatre manager; Ferdinand Pomykalo, head secretary; \u00a0Riccardo Moresco, deputy theatre manager; \u00a0Boris Papandopulo, Opera manager; Marko Fotez, PhD, Croatian Drama manager; \u00a0Tullio Fonda, Italian Drama manager; Josip Pomykalo, Opera secretary; Osvaldo Ramous, Italian Drama secretary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can read more about the history of what is today the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. After its 130th anniversary in 2015,\u00a0the theatre wishes to improve its visual identity,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The initiative \u02ddLet\u2019s Renovate the Rijeka Theatre!\u02dd (\u02ddObnovimo rije\u010dko kazali\u0161te!\u02dd) was set into motion, inviting individuals and companies to join in on the renovation of the theatre: \u02ddThe need for renovating our Theatre has surely become obvious to all. The shabby appearance of the theatre leaves one with the impression that we do not care about the largest and most important cultural institution in our city.
