{"id":2698,"date":"2015-11-09T09:26:58","date_gmt":"2015-11-09T09:26:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rijeka2020.eu\/?p=2698"},"modified":"2020-02-20T12:36:04","modified_gmt":"2020-02-20T11:36:04","slug":"re-visiting-the-educational-value-of-museums","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ri2020.eu\/en\/re-visiting-the-educational-value-of-museums\/","title":{"rendered":"Re-visiting the Educational Value of Museums"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">European Capital of Culture 2015, Pilsen in the Czech Republic, hosted the 23rd annual Network of European Museum Organisations conference <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ne-mo.org\/about-us\/annual-conference-pilsen-2015.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NEMO<\/a>, held between the 5th and 7th of November. <!--more-->The topic of the conference was &#8220;Re-visiting the Educational Value of Museums &#8211; Connecting to Audiences&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rijeka 2020 bid team participated at the conference along with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hrmt.hr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Croatian Museum of Tourism<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/prirodoslovni.com\/eng\/homepage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Natural History Museum Rijeka<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apart from deepening the existing and establishing new partnerships, we wanted to discuss audience development and exchange experiences with our colleagues.\u00a0Education is a well-developed field in museums, still they (we) have to work with and respond to ever-changing needs and demands from their audiences.
