The aim of the ECoC is to promote the development of cities through culture, to highlight the richness of European cultures and the common cultural heritage and to promote mutual understanding and dialogue.<\/p>\n

The Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture project has launched an open call for proposals that is addressed to everyone.
\nPeople from Europe and around the world are invited to participate in the call for proposals.
\nThe purpose is to find the most interesting programme proposals that will become part of our European Capital of Culture Bid Book.<\/p>\n

All proposals submitted must be in line with the main objective of the European Capital of Culture application, Cultural Climate Change and be linked to one of the following themes: Hinterland, Contrasts or Wild City.
\nAn open programme call process will be held from February 11th to May 31st, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n
