On Saturday, panels with the works of young artists from Rijeka were placed on Matija Vla\u010di\u0107 Flacius Square, all of them on topics related to the concept of Rijeka’s candidacy for European Capital of Culture: Port, Water, Work and Diversity. Pekmezmed, Ninja Tiger, Tifani Rubi, \u0160umski, Nika Rukavina ane Ana Gla\u017ear exhibited their works on large wooden panels that were installed on the site of Matija Vla\u010di\u0107 Flacius Square.<\/p>\n

The duo \u02ddKUD Svi Turci\u02dd made sure that the opening complied to European standards by entertaining all who found themselves there with their music, while volunteers gave out mulled wine to passers-by in the true spirit of Christmas.<\/p>\n

It was truly an urban street action typical of large European cities (which is something Rijeka also deserves to become) and, since one picture is worth more than a thousand words, we would like to present several photos from the event and invite you to take a look at the works when you\u2019re in town.<\/p>\n
